I offer a range of services from dog walking, house visits (for cats and dogs) as well as equestrian services from husbandry duties to ridden exercise. All About Me
Hi!
I set up Paws on Peaks back in November 2023. I have previously worked as a Student Veterinary Nurse and a Veterinary Technician. This gave me the medical knowledge that has helped me gain my Pet First Aid Level 2 (VTQ) as well as teaching me lots more about animal behaviour and training.
I have also worked as a Yard Manager and Groom on many eventing and stud yards in the past, after having gained a BSc in Equine Science, at Aberystwyth University 2017 which covered not only equine but all domesticated and livestock animals. Reading nutrition, reproduction, anatomy and physiology, microbiology, genetics and behaviour.
I have always had pets such as rabbits, cats, dogs and horses. Horses have always been my passion since the age of 4. My Passion soon turned to dogs, when I got my own Sprocker Spaniel, Mac, in 2015 (yes I had a dog at university and the lecturers loved him!). I have worked in senior roles in the past unrelated to animals, this has given me management and organisational skills. However, has never been my true passion. It is the animals for me! So to be lucky enough to set this up as my business is like a dream come true!
July 2023 was the birth of my little girl who often joins us on our Paws on Peaks adventures! She loves being in the fresh air either on the peaks with me all snuggled in her papoose or on the yard tending to the horses!
